we should really stop and think about what message this is sending to young women who HAVE been sexually assaulted and or raped by older men in positions of power and authority. Do all these people who are advocating for his release and pardon realize that they are ACTIVELY contributing to a culture of silence that denies and ignores the existence of rape while simultaneously upholding KNOWN RAPISTS as people worthy of celebration. We are telling rape survivors that THEY DONT MATTER if their rapist is good at his job.
